R2D1 Installation for other Filter applications.
|
|
-
The R2D1 can be used to monitor the condition of any Fuel Filtration system where the Filter is on the vacuum side of the pump.
-
NEVER install on the pressure side of the pump; the gauge will not work !
-
R2D1 is compatible with diesel, kerosene, and bio-diesel. Not for use with gas.
-
ALWAYS use a fuel compatible thread sealant, such as Real-Tuff Teflon paste thread sealant. This will cover most applications BUT always check to make sure it is compatible with your application.
-
ALWAYS use high quality Brass fittings when adapting the unit to your specific application.
-
The thread is 1/8” n.p.t. (national pipe thread) and can be adapted to larger or smaller thread when needed without affecting the operation of the gauge.
-
The R2D1 can be installed directly on the filter if there is an available port on the vacuum side. If the filter thread is not 1/8” female n.p.t. you can use larger or smaller adapters to fit your specific application.
-
The R2D1 can also be T’d into the vacuum side a fuel line, between the filter and the pump. Simply use a brass T with 1/8” N.P.T. female threads.
